Core Concepts
Last Point of Control (LPX)
The final zone of the old trend that must fail to confirm an order flow shift
The last point of control (LPX) is the final supply or demand zone from the previous trend. The Last Point of Demand (LPOD) is the last demand zone from a bullish trend — when it fails, supply has fully taken over. The Last Point of Supply (LPOS) is the last supply zone from a bearish trend — when it fails, demand has fully taken over. The LPX failing after the first level of respect holds is the final confirmation of a genuine order flow shift.
✓How to Recognize
- •The last zone created by the old trend before the CHoCH
- •Identified after the first level of respect has formed
- •When it breaks, the old side has no remaining defense
- •Use the clearest and most well-defined zone if multiple candidates exist
⚡How to Avoid
- →Calling a reversal before the LPX is broken
- →Choosing the least clear zone when multiple candidates exist
- →Ignoring that the first level of respect must hold before LPX matters
- →Treating a wick through the LPX as a confirmed break
